With our Japanese-inspired RUBY autumn/winter 15 collection being given the namesake, Hana it seemed only fitting to get our talented friend and co-founder of photography blog The Shutter Pirates, Tim Lambourne to shoot the beautiful blooms during cherry blossom season in Tokyo.
Check out what he captured....
Despite being one of the most urban, grey, concrete environments on the planet, Tokyo is filled with a seemingly unlimited supply of beautiful flowers. Some are tended to by home-owners, others grow at will outside convenience stores and on the sides of busy roads. I've never really noticed flowers before, but I think the contrast of stark pinks and reds against dreary grey is what caught my eye.
Tim & Joe from The Shutter Pirates are off to NYC for their next Paper Pirates adventure! We suggest you send in your submissions to be a part of the exhibition. Find out more information here x
