As the air cools, we dress the RUBY girl for an alpine adventure, pushing on Northwards from the Adriatic. Transported to lands of snowy peaks and magical forest fairies, there’s a definite tactility to her story.
She turns to silhouettes that envelop and protect, while staying true to the RUBY brand of nonchalance. For outerwear, there’s the oversized tweed trench, a Pea Coat in winter tartan, and a bold grey marle blazer. There’s also a desire to wrap up in cosy knitwear. A navy mohair turtleneck hits the timeless comfort sweet spot, while the rose-tinted Alpine Sweater feels both homespun and modern.
There are unexpected plays on texture and print too. Rows of narrow crystal pleats appear on stretch flare pants and a statement party dress. Elsewhere, we see the liquid finish of a metallic gold lurex, RUBY’s signature Cherry Leaf print and a heavy polka-dot embroidered cloth that perfectly balances weight, drape and softness.
Throughout, a warm colour palette of deeper reds and mahogany hues plays its part this season, a welcome contrast to a mythical forest setting. Accessories continue the journey, with the return of the lace-up Adventure Bootie and daisy belts that conjure images of forays into unknown lands.
The seasonal message is clear: rich and lively can also be down-to-earth. What’s not to fall in love with?
