That's a wrap on our RUBY Says Recycle Broadway Pop Up! First opening our doors to mark Black Friday in November 2024 to finishing up in early March, it has been an amazing journey. As we officially farewell the space, we hear from our team on their favourite moments. Taking five ~ stay tuned for what's to come and where we pop up next...

"Seeing how our store in the former Smith & Caugheys space came to life was such a highlight. From setting up the curtains (power saws and tripod involved) to organising all 3500 units by size and colour, ready for Rubettes to find their hidden gems. Watching both new and familiar Rubettes discover that special RSR piece—whether it was something off their wishlist or an unexpected find—was awesome to see."

"My favourite part was chatting with our Rubettes about our RSR programme. They were genuinely impressed by the initiative and so excited to be a part of it by bringing back their pieces. It was such a nice way to connect with them! I also loved our first day at the Pop Up—it was so busy! We had Thea Matcha, heaps of the team, and lots of Rubettes we know from our community. The vibes were energetic, fun, and, of course, V RUBY coded."

"One of my favourite memories of the RSR store has to be the set up days. While they are definitely the “work hard” of our work hard, knows how to party motto, they are such a joy to do alongside the team. From being up on a ladders, manually hanging 86 DIY-ed curtains from the roof (the selfie stick was the real MVP here), spray painting the RSR stencil on the wall, or getting the 3pm delirious giggles, those days are always so much fun.

My other favourite part had to be the opening morning. After the few aforementioned big set up days, turning up on the morning we first opened and seeing a line of Rubettes out the door just made it all worth it. Watching our Rubettes come in and find that one perfect item (did someone say a red and pink STRIPED Matilda?), and seeing their eyes just light up as they spot it, just brought me all the warm fuzzies. As well as the delish Matcha from Thea Matcha we were serving on opening day! Was an absolute joy to be a part of x."

"I adored watching Rubettes grab pre-loved pieces for them be worn and cherished all over again! SO many pieces are getting the wear they deserve once more, and I just love to see it (even I picked up more than a few pieces for myself!). Stepping into the Pop Up genuinely felt like a trip back in time - pieces from as far back as 2012, old collections we all loved and even my old ball dress making a reappearance! My favourite part though? Meeting Rubettes from all over the world (shoutout Londoner’s!) and helping them find their dream pieces, especially those wedding guest dresses"
