Rubettes, thank you to all who participated in our TAKE B_ACK FRIDAY pilot! It was a raging success! And the coolest thing is that the reason why it was so awesome is because of every single person who was part of it. From those who brought back a piece that had been mincing around their wardrobe for a while, our wonderful team who through trial and error made an incredible process, to those who snapped up something that they loved. THANK YOU!
I harp on and ON about how clothing is valuable, and valuable in so many ways. The success of TBFxRSR was dependent on our Rubettes really embracing this belief too.
I loved reading the stories of what pieces meant to you (something worn to a first date with the partner they are now MARRIED to, a graduation, a favourite blouse for a first job). I can’t wait for those pieces to have another life, and make new memories with another Rubette.
We sorted through all of the pieces at RUBY HQ, and for me and De it was kind of like watching our life flashing before our eyes. So many memories of their creation - what was going on in our lives, and the process of developing them from a lil’ twinkle in our eye all the way through to having them on our racks in stores.
