Aligning with the energy that RUBY Blue exemplifies, we’ve collaborated with talented local creatives throughout its evolution. Stepping into a new 3D realm with Department of Arts, their digital content helped bring the concept to life.
We chat to Josh from DOA about our collaboration...
"The thing I really enjoyed about the collaboration was working with the fashion industry as I haven’t worked with any brands in that industry before!" - Josh
WHAT HAVE YOU ENJOYED ABOUT WORKING ON RUBY BLUE?
"The thing I really enjoyed about the collaboration was working with the fashion industry as I haven’t worked with any brands in that industry before! We mainly work with alcohol and event brands, so it was refreshing to see how the fashion industry works. Also working with people who are willing to push the boundaries a bit with 3D and allow for us to create something fun and different!"
WHAT HAS BEEN CHALLENGING ABOUT THIS COLLABORATION?
"It was challenging working throughout a lockdown for sure and having to change the scope of the project at a moments notice and delve into different parts of a programme, as well as learning two whole new programmes to get the project over the line! Also working at home is always a little more difficult as it’s like working in a vacuum."
HAVE YOU LEARNT OR TRIED SOMETHING NEW?
"I’ve learnt that things aren’t always as easy as you initially imagine and that things take a lot longer than you think when it comes to 3D work, especially when it comes to animation. Cycling through 4 programs (one for face, one for animation, one for clothing dynamics and one for lighting and rendering) is quite tedious work!!"
