Bringing you double the space & double the fun, RUBY Ponsonby has been given a new lease on life. We chat to to the Interior Designer and our Creative Director, the duo behind our new flagship store.

With RUBY Ponsonby being RUBY’s newest Auckland flagship store, what was most important with the refit?
There was a lot to fit in more racking, more fitting rooms and more storage, but probably the most important was the opportunity to create a space more aligned with the product. I think the space feels distinctly RUBY - taking cues from the joyfulness associated with the brand and the colourful clothing.
How was this a flow on from your work within RUBY Mount Maunganui?
The overarching ideas are the same, so even though the spaces aren't really the same I think you can feel they are tied - we wanted both spaces to feel youthful and fun, casual and welcoming. But the main tie between the spaces is the use of the same shade of pink.
What are your favourite features within RUBY Ponsonby?
I love the big pink shelving on the purple wall at the back of the store. And the sales counter!
What do you hope Rubettes feel within the new RUBY Ponsonby space?
I hope that it's uplifting, and a nice place to hang out for a bit longer than before.

Giving our Ponsonby store a little revamp is something we are so excited about and could not be happier with the new space. Partnering with Sam again, after his incredible transformation of our Mount Maunganui store was an absolute joy. His keen understanding of our brand really came to fruition in this store with his use of colour and space. Plus, it’s the perfect home for the amazing Claudia Kogachi artwork that has been with us since last year. We can’t wait for our Rubettes to fall in love with their new Auckland home.
