To extend the life of this garment, we recommend cold delicate handwashing then air drying. A cold delicate machine wash is also recommended. Avoid washing detergent that has optical whiteners and brighteners. To iron out wrinkles, we recommend steaming, not pressing. This garment can also be dry cleaned.

HOW TO MEASURE YOURSELF
WAIST
This measurement is the narrowest part of your waist. You shouldn’t be able to shimmy it up and down.
HIP
This measurement is the widest part of your bum, not actually where your hip bones are. When you hold the tape measure in a circle, if you shimmy it up and down over your bum it shouldn’t get any bigger. It can be helpful to turn side-on to the mirror when you do this as it’s easier to see the most sicky-outy bit.
INSEAM
This measurement is taken from your crotch to your ankle. Hold the tape measure at the upper most part of your inner thigh and measure down to your ankle
We offer custom sizing in most current styles, should you be after a standard size which is outside the sizes we currently make, or need a style off the rack altered for an access need.
This service is designed to make our size range more inclusive for our Rubettes. If you wish to order a custom size, you will only pay the standard retail price of the piece you are buying as we believe everyone should be able to wear the clothes they love.
We currently do not offer custom sizing in knitwear or denim, as these styles are made offshore and require a higher quantity to be made, nor do we remake sold out styles in standard sizing. Please note that this is subject to fabric availability and this is not a made to measure service.
Although I love these pants, they just don’t last long. Within a couple months of wear (almost daily wear), the fabric wore down and has now become see-through in multiple patches. I just don’t think I could justify the price again :(

While we recognise that Rubettes love to wear these as an everyday wardrobe staple, due to the delicate composition of the fabric, they are not designed to be worn at this frequency. As you experienced, when worn everyday, the fabric wears down faster which can thin the fabric, sometimes leading to holes and tears. Upon investigation, our Production team has found that these issues stem from prolonged wear and rubbing of the fabric when worn.
Please know, that we are actively working on how we can make these pants more durable for our Rubettes that want to wear them daily.

Really cute pants but not practical

I love the pants they look so good but the pants never last long. The first time I got them the pants split in the middle of leg after 7 months then the next time I got the pants I was wearing them everyday at work and the fabric started giving away again but only took 3 months. But they do look good and flattering but I don’t think they are worth the price seeming they don’t last long if you want to wear them all the time.

While the Firebird Pants are a great wardrobe staple, due to the delicate nature of the fabric they need to be worn with extra care. If worn everyday, the fabric wears down faster, due to prolonged wear and rubbing of the fabric when worn. Because of this, the fabric can start to wear down and weaken, creating the tears you have experienced.
