This garment is a second and has small marks and pulls in the fabric. This fault is slightly different across all pieces. Sewing light coloured garments is a challenge, especially when the production process involves heavy machinery that needs to be oiled!

RUBY Upside Down recognises that nothing is ever perfect in this world. It celebrates our pieces that we’ve put a lot of love & care into, but somewhere in our production process a flaw or fault has occurred. We know these pieces are perfectly imperfect & can find a home with one of our Rubettes.

    HOW TO MEASURE YOURSELF
    BUST

    Make sure you are wearing a bra, unless you never wear one. This measurement should be the circumference of the widest point, with the tape going over your nipples

    WAIST

    This measurement is the narrowest part of your waist. You shouldn’t be able to shimmy it up and down.

    HIP

    This measurement is the widest part of your bum, not actually where your hip bones are. When you hold the tape measure in a circle, if you shimmy it up and down over your bum it shouldn’t get any bigger. It can be helpful to turn side-on to the mirror when you do this as it’s easier to see the most sticky-outy bit.

    LENGTH FROM SHOULDER

    This measurement is taken from the top of your shoulder and down over your body. Hold the tape measure at the top most part of one of your shoulders and measure down the front of your body to the given full length measurement.

    LETTERED SIZING

    For items with lettered sizing (e.g. S, M, L), the equivalent numbered size (4-24) is listed in the chart below. We recommend choosing your usual numbered size for a true-to-size fit. If you prefer a more relaxed silhouette, consider sizing up; for a closer fit, you may wish to size down.

    Custom Sizing

    We offer custom sizing in most current styles, should you be after a standard size which is outside the sizes we currently make, or need a style off the rack altered for an access need.

    This service is designed to make our size range more inclusive for our Rubettes. If you wish to order a custom size, you will only pay the standard retail price of the piece you are buying as we believe everyone should be able to wear the clothes they love.

    We currently do not offer custom sizing in knitwear or denim, as these styles are made offshore and require a higher quantity to be made, nor do we remake sold out styles in standard sizing. Please note that this is subject to fabric availability and this is not a made to measure service.
